Brive 21 – 43 Clermont Auvergne

Brive: Tries – Chauvac 1, Muller 1, Fa’aso’o 1. Cons – Laranjeira 3. Yellows – Japaridze 1.

Clermont Auvergne: Tries – Lee 1, Barraque 1, Bezy 1, Betham 1, Fourcade 1. Cons – Lopez 5. Pens – Lopez 1. Yellows – Lee 1.

Clermont look set to be in the mix for a title, come the end of the season. They are playing some superb rugby and have players who can hurt you from anywhere. Brive put in a solid effort, but Clermont were by far the better side here. They are top of the table for a reason.

Star Man – Sebastian Bezy (Clermont)

Castres 28 – 26 Racing 92

Castres: Tries – Dumora 1, Nakosi 1, Palis 1. Cons – Urdapilleta 2. Pens – Urdapilleta 3.

Racing 92: Tries – Le Guen 1, Beale 1, Taofifenua 1. Cons – Gibert 1. Pens – Machenaud 3.

A massive result for Castres. It has not been their season so far and they have seen some tough results. The narrowly won this one, but it could turn their season around. A hard fought win over the Champions Cup finalists, will bring huge momentum and confidence. In the end, all that separated the sides was one conversion.

Star Man – Filipo Nakosi (Castres)

Bordeaux-Begles 71 – 5 Agen

Bourdeaux: Tries – Cros 3, Seuteni 2, Maynadier 1, Moefana 1, Tamanivalu 1, Dweba 1, Luca 1. Cons – Botica 5, Tamanivalu 1. Pens – Botica 3.

Agen: Tries – Abadie. Yellows – Railevu 1, Tetrashvili 1.

An absolute demolition. Bordeaux put Agen to the sword here and were utterly terrific, from start to finish. Geoffrey Cros is well deserving of the Star Man accolade, but it could have gone to any number of players.

Star Man – Geoffrey Cros (Bordeaux-Begles)

Pau 24 – 35 La Rochelle

Pau: Tries – Bonneval 1, Rey 2. Cons – Hastoy 3. Pens – Hastoy 1.

La Rochelle: Tries – Liebenberg 1, Aouf 1, Favre 1, Kieft 1. Cons – Plissen 3. Pens – Plisson 3.

La Rochelle have continued their impressive run of form. They play some expansive rugby and have tries galore in them. They came up against a staunch Pau side, who themselves have had a great start to the season. However, La Rochelle were too good for their opponents and managed a four try bonus point, in the process.

Star Man – Wian Liebenberg (La Rochelle)

Stade Français 48 – 14 Toulouse

Stade Français: Tries – Delbouis 1, Coville 1, Danty 1, Latu 1, Gabrillagues 1, Percillier 1. Cons – Segonds 6. Pens – Segonds 2.

Toulouse: Tries – Lebel 1, Faumuina 1. Cons – Holmes 2.

An absolutely huge result from Stade Français. They are starting to look like a real quality side and are steadily moving up the table. Toulouse had been in fine form and are always a handful, but Stade blew them away here. They had a bonus point, for four tries, after just 28 minutes. They spread the tries around and Joris Segonds duly converted every one of them. Fantastic performance.

Star Man – Arthur Coville ( Stade Français)
