Paolo Odogwu Signs New Wasps Deal

Wasps Back Paolo Odogwu has signed a new deal with Wasps. The Centre/Winger has been in super form this season and recently received his first call up to the England National squad. The 23 year old has scored six tries, in eight games this season.

Wasps Head Coach Lee Blackett:

“We are very happy that Paolo has committed his future to Wasps.

“He has been a revelation this season, showing to everyone the exciting player we knew he was. We look forward to seeing much more of that excitement in a Wasps shirt over the coming seasons.”

Former Italy Captain and Hooker Leonardo Ghiraldini has officially announced his retirement from International Rugby.

Virimi Vakatawa Ruled Out Injured

France have suffered another blow, ahead of the 2021 Six Nations, as Centre Virimi Vakatawa has been ruled out injured. They have already lost Thomas Ramos and Romain Ntamack to injury. Vakatawa has been one of Europe’s best players for the last few seasons and will be a big loss.

The Chisholm Brothers Sign New Quins Deals

Harlequins duo James and Ross Chisholm, have both signed new deals with the club. The news follows Paul Gustard’s departure as Head of Rugby and will be welcome news for Quins fans. James Chisholm has been in particularly good form, in recent times, with his physically abrasive style of play, bringing a hard edge that Quins often miss.

Backs and Attack Coach Nick Evans:

“It’s great to have James and Ross commit their futures to the Club.

“I’ve had the pleasure to play alongside and coach James and Ross, both are credits to our academy and never give anything less than 100% when wearing the Quarters. It’s fantastic to have two integral members of our squad sign on for more.”

Launchbury & Marler Withdraw From England Squad

Joe Launchbury and Joe Marler have withdrawn from England’s squad for the Six Nations. Wasps lock Launchbury is out due to a stress fracture in his leg, while Harlequins prop Marler has pulled out due to personal reasons. Charlie Ewels and Tom West will join Eddie Jones’ tournament squad ahead of their opener against Scotland at Twickenham Stadium on February 6.

Stephen Myler Re-Signs With Ospreys

Former England and Northampton Saints Fly Half Stephen Myler has signed a new deal with Ospreys. The 36 year old has scored 130 points in 13 games for the Ospreys and has signed a new one year deal.

Stephen Myler:

When I spoke to Toby in the summer, he outlined his plans and all of those plans are now in motion. As a squad we are making progress and I have been happy to play a part in that. It really was a no-brainer for me to re-sign and I am really happy I am staying here longer than I initially thought.

Italy Six Nations Squad Released

Robert Balacoune Signs New Ulster Deal

Exciting Winger Robert Balacoune has signed a new two year deal with Ulster. The 23 year old has impressed since breaking into the Ulster side and his potential is huge. Alan O’Connor has also signed a new two year deal.
