Dan Hollinshead Joins Rugby United New York
Rugby United New York have announced the signing of Kiwi Fly Half Dan Hollinshead, for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 25 year old is a fantastic player and will fill the whole left by Cathal Marsh. Hollinshead could join a new Half Back duo with recent signing Andy Ellis. He joins from the Bay Of Plenty Steamers, in New Zealand’s Mitre 10 Cup Competition. In his realtively short career so far, Hollinshead has already played in Mitre 10 for five seasons. In addition to that, he has played pro rugby in France with Agen (PRO D2) and Japan with the Coca-Cola Red Sparks (Japanese Top League).
In 2019, Hollinshead made two appearances for the Highlanders in Super Rugby. This shows his quality and ability to play at the highest level. The former New Zealand Under 20s Training Squad Fly Half, could turn out to be one of the signings of the season. He has superb distribution skills and the boot to match. Hollinshead plays with serious control, but has the ability to unleash talent in both his backline and the forwards. RUNY have got themselves a general at Fly Half and someone who could take the competition by storm. Great Signing.
